Dating, making friendships and networking are done with Bumble. What started in 2014 as a dating app, has become, with the arrival of Bumble BFF and Bumble Bizz, an all-round social media platform for 'people you don’t know yet'. All of this with a strong focus on female empowerment: at Bumble the initiative lies with the woman. With more than 30 million users worldwide, more than 1 million female-first messages are sent daily by women who dare to take the first step. After this international success, it’s time for Bumble to conquer the Dutch market. The Dutch woman is 'ready to make the first move', says Bumble.

The app has been available to Dutch users since its international launch. Due to the growing number of users and the typical Dutch mentality, Bumble feels that now is the right time to actively launch the app in the Netherlands. With this launch, new features such as Bumble Bizz will also be available in the Netherlands. Following the example of Germany, France, Spain, England and Australia, the Dutch launch is being celebrated with a specific Dutch program that gives the Bumble user access to a number of inspiring activities that enable Bumble users to meet each other offline.

The huge growth of our brand, especially outside the US, shows that there is a demand for such a safe place. Not only in the field of dating, but also for other encounters. Make the first move with Bumble!

The founder of Bumble, Whitney Wolfe, wants to use the platform to take important steps in her mission to end misogyny and promote social change. Unlike other dating apps, women take the first step at Bumble. With that, Bumble changes the old-fashioned rules of dating. Bumble is convinced that relationships must start with respect and equality. With this, the social platform wants to challenge, inspire and encourage the rest of the world to change.
