Taiko celebrates the new ingredient of the year: Wasabi

Chef Schilo van Coevorden introduced the new menu and surprised guests like Lieke van Lexmond, Saskia Noort, Kim van Kooten, Giovanni Colauto, Jimmy Nelson and the family Krabbé with spectacular dishes inspired on the Japanese Wasabi plant. Inspired by the Chinese New Year, Taiko celebrates every anniversary of the restaurant with a 'Taiko New Year'. Each year chef Schilo van Coevorden traditionally selects an ingredient that will be the main focus during upcoming year. Last year the Hida Wagyu meat was the ingredient of the year, this year he chose Wasabi.
